My thesis, Secret Exits, examines the problem of eternity through spatial and narrative form. It places esoteric and explicit systems of representation in tension, investigating how abstraction and precision alike operate as psychological strategies for confronting the burden of permanence. The first half of the project consists of five vignettes that visualize hypothetical secret exits from the universe, conceived in childhood.
